It starts at home, in the workplace, in the mundane corners of our lives. I loved this talk. It's a wake-up call for the world.Marcia Stepanekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00890455075715762494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-962402423742010015.post-78845531060339977912009-03-17T13:12:00.000-04:002009-03-17T13:12:00.000-04:00"The sky is falling. We don't trust our institutions, our journalists, our lawyers, our CEOs, our political leaders, our NGOS, our charities, our children, ourselves."<BR/><BR/>I was just thinking about this last night while watching TV. I notice all of these car and product commercials that are playing off of our fears, needs, feelings about what is going on with touchy-feely messages. Newsflash: They are selling cars. That's it. Moving products, making money. I'm just so sick of hearing these advertising messages from big corporations; with their all-knowing schmaltzy voice overs. We all know they don't really care, so who is tricked by this? Sorry this is a bit off subject, it's just something I've been thinking a lot about lately, being in advertising/marketing/design myself. EMILYAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
